Vertical Garden Sculpture number 1. My first prototype for the goal of building awesome vertical gardens, it's hip, it's cool, it's sustainable & totally righteous!. This piece if made entirely from crazy scrap metal I found on the farm in eastern Colorado; planted with a rich organic soil, lined with sphagnum moss & coconut fiber and planted with a variety of sedums and sempervivums; both shallow rooted, drought resistant plants that can handle tough conditions. Thus far the plants have survived a summer season and I am now seeing if they will over winter or if I will have to re-plant in the spring. In studio right now several more models of vertical garden sculpture are being developed so stay tuned!
